Loch Eye is a private fishing loch immediately to the North and a short stroll from Shepherd’s Cottage. It is about 350 acres in size and we have our own boat for fly fishing. Good sport is to be found by the enthusiastic and experienced fisher. Our daily rates are discounted for guests and it can provide a fun and exhilarating day for all the family. Picnic facilities are available at the loch side. We have just completed a major refurbishment of our jetty which can also be a useful staging for experienced swimmers!

Experienced fishers can find bigger 6lb brown trout and can secure bags of over 20 fish in a day. We have a policy that you can keep such fish as you can eat that night; otherwise we prefer you to return any fish caught.
Fishing starts from our newly constructed jetty and picnic area, 5 minutes walk from your front door.
Our fishing is popular, booking in advance is usually required.
